DIY FOR CATS (TEEN HUMANE SOCIETY SERVICE PROJECT) 

Second Floor Conference Room - Saturday, February 4, 2:30-4:30 pm

We’re making super-easy catnip mice to donate to cats at the Michigan Humane Society. There’s no experience required and we’ll provide materials and snacks. You may use this event for volunteer hours.

Go Club

Group Study Room - Every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month

This club’s goal is to teach Go to new players and to improve the skills of those already experienced. The 3000 year-old strategic board game has its roots in ancient China. With only three rules, it's easy to learn for all ages! Stop by and compete for a chance to win prizes and enjoy the highly addicting and exciting experience. All ages are welcome; anyone under 13 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

2nd Floor Conference Room - December 7, January 4, January 18, February 1, and February 15

Have some ideas for the library? Share your opinions on teen programs, prizes, displays, and other library matters at these fun-filled meetings; all while eating pizza and making friends. (These meetings can be used for volunteer hours!) 

Fabulous Vocabulous League: Teen Writer's Workshop

2nd Floor Conference Room - Saturday November 19,  2:30-4:30 pm

Interested in writing fiction or poetry? Come to this afternoon session and meet other teen writers, share your own work, learn tips and pointers, and enjoy snacks. 

Super Smash Bros. Tournament

Multi-Purpose Room - Saturday, September 10, 2:30-5 pm

Be here no later than 2:45 to join our Super Smash Bros. (Wii U) tournament. 1st and 2nd place get prizes. Regular drop-in freeplay before and after the tournament. We have gamecube controllers, wii-motes, and 3DS will also be accepted for tournament play.

Geek Club

2nd Floor Conference Room - 1st Four Wednesdays of the month, 7-9 pm
A casual hang-out night for teens who enjoy graphic novels, manga, anime, videogames, RPGs, etc. Snacks included. Welcome one and all! If there are 5 Wednesdays in a month, we do not meet on the 5th Wednesday.
