Reserve a Study Room

Terms and Conditions

  • Walk-in room use is open to the public; only RHPL cardholders in good standing can make room reservations for specific dates/times.
  • Reservations are limited to two (2) in a seven-day period. Reservations can be made up to one month in advance.
  • Specific study rooms are not guaranteed. Rooms will be assigned based on group size.
  • Sign in at the Adult Reference Desk to receive a room key.
  • Reserved rooms are guaranteed for 15 minutes from the reservation start time. If running late, call 248-650-7130.
  • Reservations are good for up to four hours per day and longer if no one else is waiting for the room.
  • The person who signs in is responsible for the condition of the room and the conduct of the group.
  • It is expected that the room will be used for study purposes. For-profit use of the room is not permitted.
  • Rooms left unattended for more than 15 minutes will be assumed to be vacated and any remaining personal belongings will be moved to the Adult Reference or Computer Help desks.
  • Limit food and drink to finger foods and covered drinks.
  • When leaving the library, return the room key to the Adult Reference Desk. Room keys cannot leave the library building.
  • Do not exceed the listed capacity of the room.
