RHPL is governed by an elected six-member Board of Trustees representing the Rochester Hills community. The City of Rochester and Oakland Township receive library services through service contracts, and a non-voting liaison represents each community at board meetings.
The Board of Trustees meets monthly at the library. The public is welcome to attend, with public comments scheduled at the beginning of the meeting.
