RHPL's west parking lot to close for repairs beginning May 2
(ROCHESTER, MI – April 25, 2022) Rochester Hills Public Library's west parking lot will be closed for repairs beginning Monday, May 2. The closure is expected to last two weeks. Additionally, the south entrance closest to the library will close temporarily for minor repairs to the curbs. The southernmost entrance to the library's south parking lot will remain open, as will the entrance and exit to the drive-thru window.
After work on the west lot is completed, the south lot will close for approximately one week to reseal the asphalt and restripe the parking spaces. All work is expected to be completed by May 20.
While the west lot is under construction, library patrons are encouraged to park in the south lot or use one of the nearby city lots. While the south lot is under construction in mid-May, patrons are encouraged to park in the west lot or a city lot.
UPDATE 5/18/22: RHPL anticipates that the West lot will be completed by May 27. Once the West lot reopens, there will be additional work done in the South lot for approximately one week.
UPDATE 5/26/22: Paving has begun, but due to recent weather conditions, the west parking lot will be completed next week after the Memorial Day holiday.
UPDATE 6/6/22: The west parking lot is now open! Work on the south parking lot will begin next week.
