Detroit writer Esperanza Cintrón will read selections from her book, Shades: Detroit Love Stories, and participate in a Q/A with Rochester Writers founder Michael Dwyer and attendees. Cintrón's book is a short-story collection that is distinctly Detroit. Each interconnected story examines the obstacles an individual faces and the choices he or she makes to cope and, hopefully, survive in the changing urban landscape. Join Curtis Taylor and Rick Roe for musical selections will be from the Great American Songbook. Find Shades: Detroit Love Stories on our catalog.
