Suffragette Genius:
This presentation will explore how Harriet Beecher Stowe and Elizabeth Cady Stanton leveraged science and theology to advance the role of women in nineteenth-century America with Anne Nichols Ph.D. of Rochester University. Nichols specializes in nineteenth-century British and American Literature, particularly the intersections between literature, religion, and gender. She helped RC launch an Honors Program in 2011 and enjoys serving as the program’s director and sharing her enthusiasm for learning.
